Mithela Textile Industries Limited (MTIL)

MithelaGroup-Sustainability

Mithela Textile Industries Limited (MTIL) is not just about weaving, dyeing and printing fabrics, it’s a brand that also keeps a keen interest in sustainable development. Yes, you read that right; we believe in sustainability. In fact, we are all about sustainability. We have purchase high-tech machinery that can extract the chemicals used in the dyes so that the end products, which are woven fabrics, can be tagged as sustainable fashion. This is precisely why numerous eminent brands love our products and keep ordering them in bulk.

Our only commitment - Preserving Resources for Generation-X

We have gone through several environmental science books, we know that our natural sources are depleting at an alarming rate, but still, we keep doing so; especially those who are into the textile business. They generally use natural resources and in return, again pollute them. But MTIL’s motives are different, we do use resources but at the same time, we try to give it back to nature.

We process the water we utilize and re-use it

With the help of our latest Japanese technology which is the PVA gel-based biological ETP, we process the toxic water that remains after dyeing woven materials. This technology helps in processing 50% water for re-use. And we use this 50% of water for irrigation.

But, we are planning to use 100% of processed water very soon.

CRP/Caustic Recovery Plant

MithelaGroup-Sustainability

We own and operate a Caustic Recovery Plant (CRP)

To reduce caustic soda from our products we generally do a 'Caustic Recovery' process that dilutes the caustic soda solution from the textile, which eventually comes out from the mercerizing machines. Our CRP does at least 90% Caustic recovery.

We also save energy

MTIL has its own energy plant that produces heat to burn the rice husk. This heat is then further transformed to steam energy, to run the fuel-saving economizer generator. So basically, we save almost 68% of energy from the total requirement of any textile factory that is into dyeing and manufacturing clothes such as woven fabric chinos, non-denim wear, etc.

We would also like to inform that our factory runs central AC that consumes steam generated energy received from the aforementioned process. By adhering to this process, we are directly saving a lot of electricity.

Apart from using steam energy, we are also using Sun Light System imported from The United States of America. This system has been installed on the rooftop/top most floor. The Sun Light System basically helps natural sun light to penetrate the production floor. So basically, our employees are working in a well-lit area without using electronic lights.

And not to forget, we have strictly followed the USGBC guideline to keep the air quality of our factory safe for the workers.
